News of the smoke and tragedy of 9/11 sent me to my studio high on a hill overlooking the peaceful Beaver Valley in Ontario. The clouds were building and I saw images of horses and people in the clouds' shapes. The idea of the souls of those who perished in the smoke and flames of that tragedy being greeted by their spirit guide horses and taken for the last great ride of their lives was my inspiration.
